Arctic Steel skin fitting and nut is a made of polished cast 2205 stainless steel and has a 1-1/4″ BSP thread.
Premium stainless steel skin fitting and nut is suitable for use with Arctic Steel 1.25″ SISO Strainers (WS-SISO-125-C-A and WS-SISO-125-S-A).
Stainless steel 2205 has many benefits over bronze, including:
– Lighter than bronze with excellent corrosion resistance; 2205 SS boasts the same life as bronze.
– Arctic Steel skin fittings are many times stronger (high tensile) than bronze.
– Reduced galvanic corrosion as today engine rooms are dominated by stainless steel and alloy.
