Description
The Pilot Multi Gas Alarm system monitors up to 3 separate locations for either LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) or Carbon Monoxide (CO). The gas alarm system is designed for use in rugged environments, ideal for use on board boats or RV’s where LPG is often used for heating or cooking. Additionally, CO build up can be present from numerous sources, this lethal gas has no smell and tragic incidents occur every year, so early detection is vital.
The system operates on either 12V or 24V and continuously monitors the environment for any leaks of explosive LPG or a build up of dangerous CO.
Use up to 3 sensors in any combination, to automatically sense which type of sensor is connected and display the relevant colour light on the control panel.
The system self-tests each time it is initialised and if the optional gas valve is also installed it enables you to turn on/off the LPG supply directly from the control panel.
Multiple sensors can be installed to monitor LPG levels in areas such as gas lockers, bilges, cookers and heaters. Also monitor CO levels in the saloon and sleeping quarters where build up of CO can have lethal consequences.
In the case of an alarm, the system will sound an audible and a visual alarm and shut off the LPG supply (using a 12V or 24V solenoid valve 715513-4 or 715513-5, sold separately) which can only be reinstated once levels have returned to normal. The alarm also has the ability to set off an additional external alarm and ventilator fan if required.
