Description
The Index Marine 2200 electrical status/fault indicator utilises the galvanic isolator as a current flow sensor, detecting current flow and voltage drop across the device?s terminals. The galvanic isolation status indicator should be mounted in a prominent position on the boat so that crew and users are immediately alerted to electrical faults that could be hazardous to those on board the vessel, and/or cause an increase in galvanic corrosion.
Passive Detection – The electrical fault indicator has no power consumption under normal conditions. It only receives power when there is current flowing through the galvanic isolator, and then it accurately indicates a fault in the vessel (or shore power) electrical system.
The 2200 provides an LED light panel to monitor problems with the vessel earthing system and any AC or DC fault conditions. If there is a fault alert you should shut down electrics immediately and seek a professional advice from an electrician.
