Description
Replacement gas sensor (detector head) for Pilot gas alarms. Supplied complete with 150mm cable, block connector and sensor housing. This sensor can be used if your cable has already been routed.
It is recommended to replace these gas sensors every 2 years. All sensor housings have sockets, allowing replacement sensors to be fitted easily, no tools required.
The cables for Pilot Sensor heads have now changed from a 3 core colour to a 4 core colour (The new sensor still only uses three of the cables (red, blue and yellow) with the green wire not being connected).
The old brown coloured wire corresponds to the new red wire.
The old blue coloured wire corresponds to the new blue & black wire.
The old green & yellow coloured wire corresponds to the new yellow wire.
Be sure to choose the correct sensor:
– If your alarm was purchased before 2012, it is likely you have the old type of sensor housing which does not support sensor swapping. If this is the case AND you do not intend on rerouting your sensor cables, you will need to purchase 715502-3 (Sensor with Connector Block).
– If your product was purchased after 2012 you sensor housing will support sensor swapping. You will need to purchase 715502-1 (Sensor Only).
– If you are replacing or rerouting the sensor cable completely, you will need to purchase 715502-2 (Sensor with 3.5 Meter cable).
