Scout KM-4 high performance masthead antenna featuring a connection on top, ready for the precision Windex wind indicator. This unique solution positions the Windex 15 (sold separately) on top of the ScoutÂ’s rigid foam injected antenna, allowing for high quality VHF transmission and true undisturbed wind readings. It is suitable for long range communication in sailing boat applications. The easy-to-install antenna will free up space on top of the masthead when re-positioning the wind indicator on top of the antenna.
The Scout antenna measures 100cm long with its reinforced 1.4mm thick fibreglass whip, which is foam injected and 100% waterproof. It features a high gloss, ice white finish with anti-UV filter to prevent colour deterioration.
Scout antenna features a chrome plated joint where it can connect to your pre-existing Windex wind speed and direction indicator.
The 3db antenna has an N-type female connector to optimise signal transmission quality and is supplied with a heavy duty 3mm thick electropolished stainless steel bracket for secure masthead installation, as well as a hexagonal key to secure your Windex indicator.
Scout’s KM-4 antenna provides the same performance as their 1.5m KS-22, despite being only 1m long, thanks to the unique tuning of the interior electrical system.
